A cacao ceremony is a spiritual practice that involves consuming cacao (chocolate) in a sacred way. This practice has ancient roots, where cacao is a sacred plant with significant spiritual and medicinal properties.
During the cacao ceremony, you will gather in our studio space, led by Cindy and Renée your guides. The ceremony includes sound meditation, in the form of Sound Bath; using the gong, drums, crystal bowls and chimes along with the chakapa, tuning forks and drinking "ceremonial-grade cacao," which is prepared and consumed in a spiritual manner. Unlike regular chocolate, this cacao is minimally processed and contains higher levels of theobromine and other beneficial compounds.
The ceremonial use of cacao has several benefits, including:
Heart-opening: Cacao is associated with promoting emotional and heart-centered experiences, making it a popular choice for ceremonies focused on love, compassion, and connection.
Meditation: Cacao can enhance meditation and introspective practices, helping participants go deeper into their inner worlds.
Energy and focus: Theobromine and other compounds in cacao can provide a gentle energy lift, making it suitable for ceremonies that involve physical or mental activity.
Ritual and intention setting: Cacao ceremonies often involve setting intentions and goals, which are believed to be amplified by the cacao's effects and the collective energy of the group.
Emotional healing: Cacao is sometimes used in ceremonies aimed at emotional healing and trauma release.
Cacao ceremony is a way to connect with yourself, others, and the divine, with an emphasis on mindfulness, intention, and respect for the cacao plant.
